How to decorate sugar cookies, Kelm/Lees Style!

How to decorate sugar cookies for Christmas...

Don't be afraid to be creative. Take this Angel for example, it is really a teddy bear, turned upside down.

Melting snowman with airhead scarves were a hit!

Savanna, classic decorating skills.

Green teddy bear and the only gingerbread man cookie by Skylar

M&M cookie made with M&M's. Very creative Devin!

Mckayla dropped her plate...

Just kidding, good save! Check out that minion!

Tonia was a snowman making factory!

Orlando may have only made 3, but look at the quality of his cookies!

And then the violence came on...biting off heads

Skylar even chopped the head off the gingerbread man.

Fun was had by all! Merry Christmas Ya'll!

How to Build a Snowman

How did he get here? Well first you dress a cute baby up in a snow suit....

Then you start on the base....

While someone else works on the middle...

Keep adding and patting it down....

 Take a cute baby break...

Put the pieces together, grab an oreo for the eyes, and caramel for the mouth.

And turn an look at that baby to get him to smile...

 Then make a snow angel...

Once there was a snowman, snowman, snowman. Once there was a snowman tall, tall tall..

...in the sun he melted...small, small, small

Where I Come From

Last weekend I copied these old family pictures that were found in an envelope in a box of random things. These are my great-grandparents Susan "Brownie" and Glenwood Taylor.
Aren't they a handsome couple? Love it!

And this is Vera and Jack...(Susan's daughter), my maternal grandparents....

Something about seeing a picture of your grandparents dancing at their wedding just brings out the romantic in me and makes me smile!

And here are my grandparents with my mom as a baby. Got to love the hairstyles and the wallpaper from the 50's!

This is my mom in her blessing dress.
Looks like she was blessed in January of 1958.

And here I am on that very same blanket when I was blessed in 1980.

If you see my mom and I know you say- yes, that is Tonia's daughter. I never thought however that our baby pictures look anything alike. Until I saw this one...

Like mother like daughter right?
