Quiche

What do you do on a Sunday morning when you should be relishing in fabulous sleep...in your comfy queen size bed...with fresh fabric softened sheets...but your eyes pop open at 7:00 am?

You get up and make a quiche for breakfast..

Vultures and an afternoon in the Hill Country

This is what I saw yesterday. (Click here for a delightful scene)

Okay, so maybe I wasn't in the jungle of Africa,
but I did see vultures.

And they were HUGE!

When they flew you could hear a loud swooshing sound made by their massive wings. It was really creepy. However, it totally fit the location.  I took a little day trip to the Hill Country, Marble Falls to be specific. Ever heard of Dead Man's Hole? Neither had I...

So what is Dead Man's Hole you ask?

It basically looks like this...

You can google it, it is suppose to be haunted. We didn't see any ghosts though, just vultures.

This is what being hung looks like apparently.
I also enjoyed seeing miles and miles of road with Bluebonnets, Indian Blankets, and other assorted wildflowers. GORGEOUS! Wish they were out all year around!

And then there was the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls, Texas.

They make amazing pies. I mean just look at that lemon merangue! So pretty, it just says- "EAT ME!" It was a delightful Saturday afternoon. The scenery (inside the car and out) was beautiful to look at, the countryside was relaxing, the food was great, and the vultures...well they were gross, but made for great memories!
