Sometimes being single is hard.
Like when your parents are out of town and a racoon is found dead under their bird bath in the backyard,
and you have no man in your life to call and help you clean it up...
...so you have to pretend you are in a warzone and take care of it yourself.
Or the car you are driving has a brake light out, so you grab a screwdriver...
and fix it yourself!
BUT lately I am embracing the JOYS that come from being single.
Like fulfilling my roll as Tia Tamara.
And this goofy one, we had a great game of sword fighting with long skinny balloons and made up rules while the adults sat around talking.
They are really growing up too fast.
And you have all the time in the world to work in hobbies.
And you literally have time to stop and smell the roses. (ha ha ha)
And you get to try new things like stand up paddle boarding on a whim.
And as a friend recently told me- "you can go work out for as long as you want"...like a 4 mile run off Lady Bird lake
followed by 2 miles of kayaking
What a great view! Love where I live.
And learning to just love life!
